John Holland is one of Australia’s leading rail, building and infrastructure contractors, delivering  innovative construction projects and diverse service solutions across the country.

John Holland is at the forefront in delivering some of the most significant transport infrastructure ever built in Australia, along with many other smaller scale projects of national importance.

Risk management is a well ingrained discipline that is practised during both the bid phase and delivery phase of projects. It has always been an integral part of the way John Holland runs its business.

Prior to COVID-19, John Holland was considering ways to meet the demands for conducting project risk analysis of a significant bid pipeline and order book. COVID-19 has heightened the focus of performing schedule risk analysis on the John Holland works portfolio. This has driven the search for more productive ways to meet a substantial schedule risk analysis workload. This was done in conjunction with rolling out a new risk framework which facilitates projects to better identify discrete risks that have a schedule impact.

After conducting a market analysis, John Holland chose Safran Risk as its schedule risk analysis software. That analysis was led by John Holland’s Nick Windmeyer – Group Manager, Planning Commercial.

In this session, Nick will case study the move to Safran Risk and will describe the immediate benefits arising from the change of software.

Nick will be joined by Peter Iredale – Director Business Development for Allinno. Allinno is the Australian / New Zealand agent for Safran Risk.
