In uncertain times like these, project managers and the project controls team need to ensure they are mitigating and managing risk on their projects from inception to closeout and if needed all the way to litigation or arbitration. This presentation will give the audience an understanding of the key elements to manage on a project to minimize disputes and successfully resolve claims. The presentation will discuss claims “red flags” that a project team needs to be aware of. In addition, a discussion on contractual awareness and the use of a “contract matrix” will be elaborated on. Change order management and proper use of records and documentation will also be discussed including the development of an issue database. Finally a high level discussion on forensic schedule analysis and productivity analysis will wrap up the presentation with 5 minutes of Q&A at the end.
