Embark on an impactful journey with GBRI’s 1-day interactive Climate Change Action Workshop in the vibrant city of New York

Climate Change Action Workshop - New York City

Climate change and sustainability are critical global challenges that require collective action and informed decision-making. GBRI is proud to present a series of immersive workshops designed to deepen your understanding, inspire meaningful engagement, and equip you with the knowledge and skills to drive positive change.

Our first workshop, the Climate Change Action Workshop, draws inspiration from GBRI’s acclaimed “Climate Change Ambassador Program.” Building on the momentum of the Climate Change Action Workshop, our second workshop, the ESG Workshop, focuses on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations in sustainable practices.

What is the Climate Change workshop about?

Climate change is more than just a global temperature rise. It is a multifaceted challenge that encompasses environmental, social, and economic impacts. At GBRI, we believe that it’s time to shift the narrative from discussing the problem to taking meaningful action. Our Climate Change Action Workshop goes beyond the surface-level understanding and empowers participants to become part of the solution.

Drawing inspiration from GBRI’s acclaimed “Climate Change Ambassador Program,” this hands-on workshop provides a holistic understanding of climate change, addressing its environmental justice implications and uncovering innovative solutions from both individual and collective perspectives. We recognize that climate change is not an isolated issue but interlinked with broader aspects such as environment, biodiversity, economics, and social justice. Through engaging activities and discussions, we aim to foster a sense of optimism and inspire participants to take action.

From exploring lifestyle and societal shifts to diving into design and operational interventions, this interactive workshop will kickstart your climate change action plan as an individual and equip your organization with the knowledge and tools to make a meaningful impact. Whether you are a passionate environmentalist, a sustainability professional, or simply someone concerned about the future of our planet, this workshop offers a platform to deepen your understanding, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and explore actionable strategies.

Date – Aug 17th 2023 | Midtown Manhattan, NY | 8 Hours with a 45 minute break for lunch.

Will the workshop fulfill credential maintenance for AIA, LEED and WELL professionals?

Absolutely! By attending this workshop, participants will also earn 8 Continuing Education (CE) hours towards the credential maintenance of their LEED, AIA, or WELL credentials, demonstrating their commitment to professional development and staying up-to-date with industry standards. This workshop is strategically scheduled for a Thursday, allowing out-of-state and international participants to follow up with our Friday workshop on ESG if they choose, thereby earning an additional 8 CE hours towards their LEED, AIA, or WELL credential maintenance. Participants of both workshops will also receive complimentary 1 year access to GBRI’s library of self-paced courses and articles including LEED and WELL specific courses specifically designed to fulfill LEED and WELL specific CE requirements ($249 value). This means that by attending GBRI’s sustainability workshops, participants can conveniently fulfill all their CE hour requirements in one place, saving time and effort in searching for individual courses.

Upon successful completion of the workshop, participants will earn a socially shareable and verifiable certificate, along with the esteemed Climate Change Ambassador badge, to showcase their commitment to driving positive change and inspire others to join the movement.
