The International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) is a global organization dedicated to advancing human health and well-being through the design, construction, and operation of buildings. The IWBI’s Headquarters in New York City serves as a prime example of their commitment to creating healthier and more sustainable work environments. This case study examines the features and strategies implemented in the project to achieve WELL v2 certification, showcasing its impact on the health, comfort, and productivity of its occupants.
This case study is unique, as the organization looking for certification is also the organization that created the certification. IWBI was both client and consultant, and like all certified projects, it worked with Green Business Certification Inc (GBCI). to receive its assessment. This case study is part of GBRIโs course series โHealthy Buildings, Healthy Lives: WELL Case Studiesโ, where we look at amazing WELL building projects from around the world. This course can be taken stand-alone or as part of the series depending on your interest and credential maintenance requirements.
