India’s Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) in Kerala is the nation’s fourth largest airport . It is the first airport to be energy neutral through the installation of solar power. Though it is a major accomplishment for India as the country strives to significantly reduce carbon emissions. So this course discusses various aspects of the solar power project, including the project implementation phases, the process for choosing a location for the solar panels and project challenges. The course ends with a discussion of the use of solar power at airports around the world.
