The course highlights practical applications of biophilic design, indoor environmental quality, movement strategies, and wellness programming within a flexible workplace model.
The Lennox Building, located in Dublin’s vibrant South Richmond Street district, represents a milestone in healthy workplace design. As Ireland’s first WELL v2 certified project—and Europe’s first certified flexible workspace—the building demonstrates how health-centered design can support community, productivity, and talent retention in modern urban environments. Developed as a four-storey mixed-use office and restaurant building, The Lennox Building was designed with occupant well-being as a core principle. Every element of the working day was carefully considered—from ergonomic workstations and smart lighting systems to air quality, thermal comfort, and opportunities for movement. The project achieved WELL v2 Gold Certification, reflecting its commitment to supporting physical health, mental well-being, and social connection within a flexible office model. In an era defined by workforce stress and competition for talent, The Lennox Building illustrates how health-forward environments can become a strategic advantage for businesses. Beyond certification, this project demonstrates how WELL can strengthen workplace culture, enhance occupant satisfaction, and cultivate healthy communities within urban settings.
