Drinking water

Safe drinking water is a problem for nearly 1 billion people. In some parts of the world, women and children travel on foot for 3 or more miles with heavy buckets on their heads just to deliver fresh water back to their families. Even Americans don’t even have the safest drinking water, as can be seen from the recently publicized crisis in Flint, Michigan. Dangerous levels of lead and other neurotoxins can be found in over 18 million American’s tap water. Discover how we can strengthen protections for safer drinking water, replace again water delivery systems, and deliver tools and knowledge about safe drinking water to parks of the world where it does not currently exist.
