Product Description

District energy systems are a highly efficient way to heat and cool many buildings in a given locale from a central plant. The USGBC created The District Energy systems (DES) Guide within the LEED program in order to grant credit to building projects that are using district energy as a source. The focus of this course is on Steam District Energy and how connection to the system can provide points to LEED building projects in New York City.

  1. 4 out of 5

    :

The course is very well structured and provides a comprehensive understanding of DES to people who are totally unfamiliar with it. The synergistic effects of DES across Energy & Atmosphere category are analysed thoroughly despite iterative specific references to Con Edison.
In practical terms, the course should have a timeline bar to allow the attendee to pause the course at any time or move back/ forward.

  2. 4 out of 5

    :

Good Course, advanced info presented seensibly and coherently.
Pracitical if in a District steam area or any campus environemtn.
