Product Description

GBRI’€™s LEED Construction Management hands-on training module is an intermediate to advanced level online training class designed for construction managers, contractors and builders, field engineers, superintendents, site engineers and other construction professionals to assist them successfully incorporate sustainability and green building guidelines, principles and practices into their construction projects.

Starting from pre-design, planning, through construction, commissioning and closing, the course is strategically designed to provide training for project phases that span across the life cycle of a green building project. This course also includes hands-on elements that will allow attendees to work on construction management elements of their choice, in addition you will get access to sample documentation, sample plans, & other tools that you can use for your future LEED projects.

This course is uniquely designed in the context of a real LEED v3 and v4 project. Attendees will be able to join the projects via LEED online.

This is the go to course for any contractor that would like a detailed manual to take them through the LEED certification process.

    • Module 1- Pre-design and design

      This session will concentrate on a construction manager’s roles and responsibilities during the construction phase of a LEED or sustainability project.

      Topics covered include: LEED process, Integrative Process under LEED v4, Healtcare prerequisite, Contractor’s responsibilities and roles in IPD, understanding project goals and scope (RFP) objectives, understanding LEED specs from construction documents, and joining a LEED project through LEED online. Tools such as responsbility matrix, schedule of values will be shared with the class

      Module 1 Exercise – Join the LEED Project (v3 and/or v4)

    • Module 2- LEED Construction

      This session will concentrate on a construction manager’s roles and responsibilities during the construction phase of a LEED or sustainability project.

    • Module 3- LEED Construction (Continued)

      This session will continue to concentrate on a construction manager’s roles and responsibilities during the construction phase of a LEED or sustainability project.

    • Module 4- LEED Documentation and Closing

      This session will concentrate on how to prepare, document and upload LEED construction credit documentation through LEED online.

      Topics covered include: Analyzing Construction credits, Calculations for LEED MR credits, filling out forms for LEED MR credits and uploading LEED documentation via LEED online.
