About

The inspirational Albion District Library is one of the busiest libraries in Toronto with a 75 percent increased visitor ship for teenagers. One of the AIA COTE Top 10 Green Building Projects, the Albion District Library is a fine example of community participation in design decision. Designed by Perkins and Will and built by Aquicon Construction Limited, this project clearly demonstrates the immediate positive impact of good design. The project features many sustainability features including: a rooftop PV array, sloping green roof, daylight harvesting, green roof and stormwater management to name a few.
