Product Description

While industry experts are familiar with stormwater legislation, there are a number of moving parts to the larger stormwater discussion. This presentation will look into the various legal issues regarding stormwater management and what may be mandatory in the future. We will also look at advanced stormwater management strategies like environmental site design, rainwater harvesting, and treatment trains. A lot can be learned about successful implementation of stormwater management by reviewing real-world sustainability and green building projects from around the nation. This course also reviews how LEED v4 addresses stormwater management and looks into the future of stormwater management.

This was a good primer course for someone lacking site design experience. It seemed a bit rudimentary for someone with a site design background. The title “Advanced Stormwater Strategies”, led me to believe that the course would have been at a higher level of training. To help the flow, slides could have been broken up to create a more dynamic presentation. Most slides tarried through a great amount of discourse. Additionally, a few more case studies, and even specific BMPs, and supporting reduction/treatment data would also go further to make the case for incorporating more water quality and water quantity strategies into future projects. Thank you for what I did learn.

    :

Very informative and thorough course outlining the history of storm water management goals and strategies. Would have liked to have seen more case studies and fewer “text heavy” slides, but overall very good. I would recommend this course to others.
