It is hard to rationalize spending $40 per child on a costume that can be toxic if it has plastic details or a plastic mask, both of which can contain PVC or traces of lead. Instead, create a custom costume from clothes you already have or clothes from a second-hand store. Thrift stores are great for finding cheap accessories.
