    Conserving Biodiversity in Subdivision Development

    Biodiversity preservation is often overlooked, even in green construction. Presented by Mark Hostetler, PhD, Professor, Department of Wildlife Ecology & Conservation, University of Florida, this continuing education course is a four-part webinar series developed by the Program for Resource Efficient Communities at the University of Florida. The course is devoted to defining, recognizing, restoring, and managing residential communities for biodiversity within the urban and rural matrix.

    Relevant to county and city planners, landscape architects, architects, civil engineers, environmental consultants, developers, and private landowners, this course qualifies for 4 GBCI-approved CE hours and 4 AIA LU|HSW|SD. The series will be delivered online, on-demand in four one-hour sessions. Included with the course is a 126-page resource manual, in PDF format. The course qualifies for 4 GBCI-approved CE hours in Project Site Factors (GBCI category) and 4 AIA LU | HSW | SD hours.
